Backend/Full-stack Engineering Intern

  • Built the first end-to-end version of an extension platform that lets agent owners upload, validate, publish, bind, and invoke custom tools. Designed immutable package versions, permission checks, audit trails, and encrypted secret injection that kept credentials out of logs, object storage, and model context.
  • Hardened extension execution across isolated sandboxes and a restricted in-process Python runtime. Added delegated authentication, SSRF protection, sensitive-header filtering, package validation, and structured failure handling for tools that call external services.
  • Expanded the extension system into a unified connector center spanning APIs, persistence, invocation history, permissions, package management, agent settings, and a Vue/TypeScript interface. Backed the work with migrations and comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Reworked the PostgreSQL conversation-trace query path from roughly 4 seconds to under 200 ms for warm requests on a 4,000-row test dataset. The larger observability effort added targeted indexes, projection tables, safe backfills, deferred-join pagination, bounded content search, and coordinated UI queries to keep results fast and consistent under concurrent updates.
  • Shipped an asynchronous model stress-testing workflow using Celery, including concurrent streaming and non-streaming requests, first-token latency and throughput statistics, categorized failures, permission enforcement, and a guided results UI. Also improved reasoning-mode compatibility across multiple model providers.
  • Implemented and integrated a four-dimension growth-stock model into a manifest-driven financial research pipeline. Defined its SQL batch stages, filters, indicators, weighted scoring, source-field contracts, semantic query catalog, reporting-date support, and environment-aware data mappings, then connected its results to the stock-selection workflow.

High School Robotics Mentor

Crescent School — FIRST Robotics Team 610 · North York, Ontario · January 2026 – Present

  • Led and mentored a five-person team of Grade 9–12 developers through the design, implementation, and competition use of Team 610’s 2026 scouting and strategy app. Guided students through TypeScript, component design, debugging, Git collaboration, and shipping software against the fixed deadlines of a FIRST Robotics season.
  • Helped move the team’s scouting system to an Expo and React Native architecture that runs across tablets and the web. Introduced an offline-first data layer with Couchbase Lite and continuous cloud synchronization so scouts could keep collecting match data through unreliable venue connectivity.
  • Guided the development of match, pit, and expert-scouting workflows, including autonomous-path drawing and live schedules and team rosters from The Blue Alliance. The resulting dataset feeds team comparisons, performance distributions, match planning, ranking predictions, and alliance-selection pick lists used by the strategy team.
  • Supported production deployments and in-event troubleshooting while helping students take ownership of features, review one another’s work, and evolve the application as game strategy changed throughout the season.
